#Today I wanna write about Korean Comedian and host, Yoo Jae Suk who won the Daesang Award in the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards 2021.

Yoo Jae-suk (Korean: 유재석; Korean pronunciation: [jud͡ʑεsʌk̚] or [ju] [t͡ɕεsʌk̚]; born on 14 August 1972) is a South Korean comedian, host, and television personality currently signed to FNC Entertainment. He has hosted several variety television shows in South Korea, including Infinite Challenge, Running Man, Happy Together, and Hangout With Yoo. Known for his quick wit and appeal across a wide range of demographics, Yoo has established himself as one of South Korea's top comedians and TV personalities, arguably the most well-known and popular celebrity in South Korea. He is also a member of SSAK3.

Born on 14 August 1972 in Seoul, Yoo is the eldest of three siblings. In 1991, he completed his high school education and graduated from Yongmoon High School in Seoul. In the same year, Yoo entered the acting department of Seoul Institute of the Arts.

Yoo's television debut was on the KBS Comedian Festival (for college students) in 1991, where he performed a parody of a commercial with Choi Seung-gyung. He's dancing to a cover of the song "Step by Step" by New Kids on the Block was another early memorable moment. In 2002, after nine years as a relatively unknown comedian, thanks to a recommendation by Choi Jin-Sil, he hosted the program Live and Enjoy Together. He then rose to prominence when he co-hosted a program called The Crash of MCs with Kang Ho-dong, Lee Hwi-Jae, and Kim Han-Seok.

His first Grand Prize award was for the talk show Happy Together Friends.

grew to be one of the most popular and highest-rated shows in South Korea. During that time, Yoo became increasingly popular and many programs began to nickname him "the nation's MC". He went on to host various shows, including New X-Man, Old TV, and Haja! Go! (Let's Do It) for SBS, but these were all soon canceled due to low ratings on Sunday evenings. However, X-Man has found success in international syndication, and Yoo gained popularity among Korean wave fans.

Yoo was a part of the cast of the top-rated comedy-variety program Infinite Challenge. He had been the host-in-chief since 2005 and was one of the program's founding members.

Despite low ratings during its premiere, the show went on to become one of the most popular and influential variety programs in Korea. Dubbed the "national variety show" in Korea, Infinite Challenge became the forerunner of many programs that used a similar format. Since 2 December 2006, the program has received the highest ratings of prime-time lineups for Saturday evening.

Yoo revealed his love for the program during the 1-on-1 talk with fellow co-host, Jeong Hyeong-don, on a "Pause" special (S04E300) that aired on 20 October 2012. He said, "I think my life on television and variety shows will be tied to the fate of Infinite Challenge... When will we ever get to do another program like this? No matter how hard you try, it's going to be impossible to do another show like this."

Yoo also co-hosts Come to Play with Kim Won-hee and Happy Together Season 3. In particular, Happy Together is one of the longest-running talk shows in Korea and has consistently earned high ratings.

Yoo became the main host of Family Outing as part of SBS's Good Sunday lineup. Together with Lee Hyori, Yoon Jong-shin, Kim Su-ro, Lee Chun-hee, Kang Dae-sung, Park Ye-jin, and Kim Jong-kook (since episode 19), they made up the "family" (cast members) of the show. Family Outing became one of the top-rated shows in Korea, consistently achieving the highest ratings for the Sunday mid-afternoon time slot, and it gained popularity among Hallyu fans.

Since 11 July 2010, Yoo has hosted the urban action variety Running Man together with fellow Infinite Challenge member Haha, fellow Family Outing member Kim Jong-kook, other entertainers such as Ji Suk-jin, Leessang's Gary (who left since episode 324 to focus on his music career), Song Ji-Hyo, Lee Kwang-soo, Song Joong-ki (who left since episode 41 to focus on his acting career), Lizzy of After School (who left for unknown reasons), Jeon So-min and Yang Se-chan (both joined since episode 346). Although the program did not have a good start in ratings, it later became very popular and has held a consistent international fanbase to this day.

After the end of Infinite Challenge, Yoo's biggest show, in March 2018, articles were being written about how Yoo was in a crisis and past his prime. Though with himself still topping popularity charts, new shows of his such as Laborhood on Hire and You Quiz on the Block while finding moderate success and having favorable reviews, were not able to fill the shoes of Infinite Challenge.

Hangout with Yoo was the eagerly anticipated new project with the partnership of the power duo from Infinite Challenge. The main driving forces for the success of ‘Infinite Challenge’ are main program directors Kim Tae-ho and Yoo, as the main host. Unfortunately, initial reactions to the show were not ideal and ratings were plummeting, leaving many ‘Infinite Challenge’ fans disappointed.

After the disappointing start a few episodes in, the show began working on a new project. The project was to have Yoo learn to play a simple beat on a drum set. The recorded sample was then passed down from musician to musician in which each musician would add their own accompaniment, and ultimately end up with a complete song. With the start of this project, ratings and reviews for the show were picking up.

With the show slowly picking up in popularity, the media labeled the show as Yoo's 2nd heyday with Yoo's debut as a rookie trot singer, Yoo San-seul for another of the show's projects. Yoo released a three-track trot album, Bbong For Yoo.

From 2015 to 2016, Yoo hosted the program Two Yoo Project Sugar Man together with Yoo Hee-yeol. The program focuses on current popular artists remaking hit songs from singers who have disappeared from the public eye. The show returned for a second season in 2018 with Yoo co-hosting alongside Yoo Hee-yeol, Joy (Red Velvet), and Park Na-Rae. The show then returned for a third season in late 2019 with Yoo co-hosting alongside You Hee-yeol, Kim Eana, and Heize.

Yoo hosted both seasons of Netflix's variety show, Busted!, which aired in 2018 until 2021.

In 2012, Yoo appeared in the music video for Psy's hit single "Gangnam Style". In the video, he reprises the retro disco dancing character he created for the mock-band "Sagging Snail" in Infinite Challenge's West Coast Highway Music Festival special, in which Psy also appeared. Following his appearance, Yoo became known worldwide as the "yellow suit guy". He also appeared in Psy's follow-up single, "Gentleman". In 2015, Yoo collaborated with JYP in Infinite Challenge. On 15 July 2015, Yoo signed an exclusive contract with FNC Entertainment after having been without an agency for about five years.

In 2016, Yoo collaborated with EXO for the SM Station single "Dancing King", which was also collaboration for Infinite Challenge. He performed with them at EXO's EXO Planet #3 - EXO'rDIUM concert in Bangkok.

In 2020, through Hangout With Yoo, Yoo collaborated with Lee Hyo-ri and Rain to form the summer project co-ed trio SSAK3. Two original songs, "Beach Again" and "Play That Summer", and one cover song, "In Summer", were released. Soon after the end of SSAK3, Yoo collaborated with Lee Hyo-ri together with Kim Jong-min and Jung Jae-Hyung on the "Refund Sisters" with Uhm Jung-Hwa, Jessi & Hwasa as a promise after reaching number 1 in the MBC Music Core show.

Yoo has been dubbed "the nation's MC" for his broad appeal and popularity with a wide demographic of viewers. He has consistently ranked as the top comedian in Korea, topping the Gallup poll in 2009, and for six consecutive years since 2012. He is one of the highest-paid television personalities in Korea, and one of the most in-demand endorsers.

Known for his exemplary image, Yoo has consistently been picked as a role model by fellow entertainers, as well as the citizens of Korea. He makes donations regularly to several causes and has participated in philanthropic acts.

Yoo is the first television host to have his wax figure, currently displayed at the Grevin Seoul Museum.

On 6 July 2008, Yoo married MBC announcer, Na Kyung-eun, who worked with him on the show Infinite Challenge. Yoo and his wife welcomed their first child, a son, Yoo Ji-ho, on 1 May 2010. Their second child, a daughter, Yoo Na-eun was born on 19 October 2018.

None of the actors stood up, and some weren't even clapping when Yoo Jae Suk won the grand prize. Only a few actors, such as Song Joong Ki, stood up to congratulate Yoo Jae Suk on the win.

The netizen who created the post also uploaded other netizens' reactions as they criticized the arrogance of the actors and pointed out the difference between the actors' reactions toward the grand prize winners. Actor Kim Seon-ho and actress Seo Ye-Ji topped the votes for the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards’ Tiktok Popularity Award.

The voting for the Tiktok Popularity Award on Tiktok was held from May 3 to 10. A person was allowed to vote three times a day in the male and female categories and got to vote two more times if the poll link was shared.

At the end of the voting, Kim Seon-ho, star of the drama “Start-Up,” topped the poll with a whopping 1.3 million votes.

Placing second is “Vincenzo” star Song Joong-ki with 956,780 votes, or a difference of 343,220 votes.

“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” star Kim Soo-Hyun grabbed third place, getting total votes of 364,990.

Kim Seon-ho (Korean: 김선호; born May 8, 1986) is a South Korean actor. He began his career on stage and appeared in numerous plays before making his screen debut in 2017 with Good Manager. He rose to prominence with the 2020 television series Start-Up.

After graduating from high school, Kim studied at the Seoul Institute of the Arts where he received a degree from the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment. While in college, he joined a theatre group and began acting in plays. His first stage role was in New Boeing Boeing (an adaptation of the French play of the same name) in 2009, which he reprised in 2013. He found minor success appearing in the popular Daehakro (comparable to Off-Broadway) plays Rooftop House Cat and Goal of Love, which was both romantic comedies. Later, he expanded his repertoire with darker roles, and gained critical recognition in works such as True West and Kiss of the Spider Woman in 2015, and Closer in 2016.

Kim made his screen debut at the beginning of 2017 in the KBS2 office drama Good Manager, after auditioning at the suggestion of producer Lee Eun-jin who watched his performance in the play Closer. Kim's next project Strongest Deliveryman, for which he initially auditioned for a supporting role, marked his first appearance in a main role onscreen. Later in 2017, he starred in the action-comedy Two Cops as a sly conman, which earned him two awards at the 2017 MBC Drama Awards. While the drama was still airing, he reprised his role on stage as Valentin in Kiss of the Spider Woman. In 2018, Kim portrayed the lead role of an artist in the drama special You Drive Me Crazy, which had a four-episode broadcast in May. He also starred in the historical drama 100 Days My Prince, which became one of the highest-rated dramas in Korean cable television history. In September that year, Kim joined Salt Entertainment after the expiration of his contract with his former theatre company.

In March 2019, Kim played an aspiring singer in the JTBC comedy Welcome to Waikiki 2. In October the same year, he starred in the tvN investigative crime drama Catch the Ghost opposite veteran actress Moon Geun-young, in his first leading role in a full-length series. On November 5, Kim joined the cast in the fourth season of the KBS2 reality show 2 Days & 1 Night; he received the Rookie Award at the 2020 KBS Entertainment Awards for his work on the show. In his final project of 2019, he appeared in the play Memory in dream.

Kim returned to the small screen in October 2020 through the tvN drama Start-Up. His portrayal of a start-up investor with a tragic past was well-received by viewers and garnered him a nomination for the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Supporting Actor – Television. During the airing of Start-Up, Kim topped the monthly brand reputation ranking index by the Korean Business Research Institute and experienced a surge in popularity domestically and internationally. He made his comeback to the theatre in January 2021 through the play Ice by Jang Jin, in which he played a detective trying to inculpate a young man in a murder case. Kim collaborated with Epitone Project to release the single "Reason" in May, which he sang and co-wrote, having previously appeared in the latter's music video. He is set to lead an upcoming tvN drama alongside Shin Min-a.

A Rookie male idol by the name of Tany (Kim Jinsoo) passed away on the 14th in a fatal car crash.

His agency, HOM Company, released a statement detailing what exactly happened.

#Today I didn't know why I wanna read the synopsis of Korean Drama, Start-Up. 

This drama has an end on 6 December 2020. I knew that I was late. When others have moved on to others drama, while I just started to like it. 😅😅😅

Maybe it was caused by some status on some Instagram account uploaded about this drama, and it made my curiosity appear. 

I also didn't know why I like the character of the second lead actor, Han Ji Pyeong. And of course, not only me who felt in love with this character. Starting from the character of Han Ji Pyeong, made me crazy about the actor, Kim Seon Ho. 😅😅😅

I like Kim Seon Ho's personality that he showed in a variety of 1 Day 2 Nights. He full of smiles, cheerful, and not ashamed to show his ugly face. 🤣🤣🤣

Kim Tae-Hyung (Korean: 김태형; born December 30, 1995), also known by his stage name V, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He is a vocalist of the South Korean boy group BTS.

V was born Kim Tae-Hyung on December 30, 1995, in the Seo District of Daegu, South Korea, and grew up in Geochang County. He is the eldest of three children, with a younger brother and sister. V first aspired to be a professional singer in elementary school and eventually began taking saxophone lessons in early middle school as a means of pursuing the career. V's father agreed with his journey on learning how to play the saxophone. V initially became a trainee for Big Hit Entertainment after passing an audition in Daegu.

After graduating from Korean Arts High School in 2014, V enrolled in Global Cyber University.

On June 13, 2013, he made his debut as a member of BTS on Mnet's M Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. He was first credited for music composition in The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 when he co-wrote and co-produced the song "Hold Me Tight". He also contributed to writing lyrics for the song "Fun Boyz", co-composed by bandmate Suga. For the song "Run", V's melody was used with Jungkook's original lyrics for the next album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2. Furthermore, he contributed to music composition and lyrics for a solo song called "Stigma" from the album Wings. V has also released, unofficially, a cover of "Hug Me" with bandmate J-Hope as well as a cover of "Someone Like You" by Adele.

In May 2018, his second solo song, "Singularity" was released as the trailer for BTS' then-upcoming third LP, Love Yourself: Tear. The track made its UK radio debut on BBC radio on October 25. A month after its release, The Guardian added "Singularity" to its "Top 50 songs for the month of June 2018" playlist and Billboard included it in their Critics' list of the "Top 50 BTS songs" at number 28. Overall, "Singularity" was generally well-received by critics and as a result, was mentioned on several year-end critics' Choice lists. The New York Times Songs of 2018" alongside "Fake Love", LA Times Pop Music Critic Mikael Wood named it the fourth "best and most replay worthy song of 2018", and Guardian Music Critic Laura Snapes included it as one of her favorite tracks in their “Best Music of 2018: Albums and Tracks" list.

On October 24, V became one of the youngest recipients of the prestigious fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit medal, awarded to him by the President of South Korea along with the other members of BTS for their role in the spread of culture.

V, together with bandmate J-Hope, collaborated with Swedish singer Zara Larsson on a song called "A Brand New Day" for the soundtrack album of their mobile game BTS World. It was released on June 14, 2019, and debuted at number 1 on World Digital Song Sales Chart. Eight months later, he collaborated with bandmate Jimin for the song "Friends" and he also participated in the composition and writing of his solo song, "Inner Child" on their album Map of the Soul: 7.

In 2016, V made his acting debut with a supporting role in KBS2's historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth under his real name. He also collaborated with bandmate Jin on a duet for its soundtrack entitled "It's Definitely You". To celebrate BTS' fourth anniversary, V released "4 O'Clock" on June 8, 2017, a song he co-produced with bandmate RM.

V released his first full solo track outside of BTS, "Scenery", on January 30, 2019, through the group's SoundCloud page. The ballad was written and composed by V (who also photographed the cover artwork), produced by Big Hit Entertainment producer Docskim, and featured additional contributions from Big Hit producers Pdogg and Hiss Noise. It broke SoundCloud records for reaching 100 million streams from 20 million in over fourteen days, the shortest time for the platform. Over the course of the two weeks following its release, "Scenery" broke the daily streaming record nine times.  Seven months later, he released his second solo song and his first full English song entitled "Winter Bear" through SoundCloud, accompanied by a self-directed music video via BTS' YouTube channel on August 9. He co-produced the track together with RM, Hiss Noise, and Adora. He also photographed the cover artwork using his pseudonym Vante.

In 2020, V participated in a song titled "Sweet Night" for the soundtrack of the JTBC drama Itaewon Class which was released on March 13, 2020. Produced, written, and sung by V, the indie-pop song is entirely in English. The song received generally favorable reviews for its composition, vocal performance, and warm lyrics, and debuted at number 2 on Billboard's U.S. Digital Song Sales chart, the highest debut for a Korean soloist in the chart's history. On December 25, 2020, V released a solo track titled "Snow Flower" featuring Peakboy.

V coined the phrase "I purple you" during the BTS fan meeting in November 2016. Ever since then, purple has become a symbol of BTS and their fans. UNICEF also used the phrase for their anti-bullying campaign in collaboration with BTS.

In 2018, Eugene Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. conducted analytical research on Google search trends relating to the K-pop industry. "V" ranked first on the chart, meaning it was the number one most searched keyword for the past five years in South Korea. In a survey conducted by Gallup Korea, V was chosen as the 4th most preferred idol of 2019; he was previously ranked 9th in 2018.

Various artists have cited him as an influence and role model, such as The Boyz's Younghoon and Hwall, Golden Child's Jaehyun and Jangjun, MVP's Been, Rainz's Byun Hyun-min, Cravity's Serim, Ateez's Yeosang and Mingi, D-Crunch's Jungseung and Dylan, Lucente's Bao, Newkidd's Yunmin, Boy Story's Hanyu, TXT's Beomgyu, Produce X 101 contestants Koo Jungmo, Lee Taeseung and Mahiro Hidaka, and former Wanna One member Park Ji-hoon.

V possesses a baritone singing voice that has received a generally positive critical reception, with particular praise for his vocal range and "husky" tone. He gained wider vocal recognition for his performance of his solo song "Stigma" and was praised for his falsettos that showed off his vocal range and unique musicality. V's tonality on "Singularity", the opening track of BTS' Love Yourself: Tear (2018), was noted as a prominent "tone-setter" on the album by music critic Blanca Méndez. Similarly, Katie Goh of Vice deemed it as "one of V's best vocal performances." Karen Ruffini of Elite Daily stated in their article that "V... has no problem producing super soothing, low tones that are a key element in the overall sound for BTS," with Tamar Herman from Billboard also noting that V's lower range is a prominent piece of BTS' music. V's musicality is heavily influenced by his love for jazz and classical music. Eric Benet and Ruben Studdard are among his inspirations.
